Like laddies said, a lot of the time, the bad switch box (murkurese for power pack) is the one that fires, killing the other one through the bias circuit. If you remove the bias jumper,and both work, that's your problem.

XR2 and XR4 came with 4 1/4 in lowers. XR6 came with either 4 1/4 or 4 3/4 in lower. ….
